Caminata 47 was a temporary event located in Back of The Yards which held mariachis live , local food vendors, activities for children, and local activists. The point of the event was to unite the community and establish a sense of pride for their Latinx heritage. It was to strengthen the community and to remind them who they were, they also allowed small businesses to shine and show what they were providing to the community.
Caminata 47 has brought many people of different ethnicities and of different backgrounds together to form a better and more welcoming community.
