Located in the neighborhood, Chinatown, the CASL aims to aid individuals and families in terms of providing an equitable future for the Chinese community. It houses fourteen distinct community programs including classrooms, gardens, child and senior care, a family drop-in center, counseling offices, and a chef training facility.

The Center has natural daylight and ventilation to allow visitors to work and learn comfortably. The plan is to maximize their capability and encourage the interaction, communication, and collaboration in the young and old Chicago Chinese community.
