The Douglass 18 is a community-led, youth design, conversation-theme miniature golf course located at the center of the Douglass Park in North Lawndale, just behind the field house, and inspired by the 205 species of migratory birds that pass through the park each year. (1)
Each hole features design elements and obstacles that represent a particular bird - either what they eat, where they live or the threats they face - with fun facts of the species provided on signage at tee based on student’s research. (2)
